Ngugi wa Thiong'o Ä 3 free read Weep Not, Child (African Writers) review ´ eBook or Kindle ePUB Fects of the Mau Mau war on the liv One of the most beautifully worded scripts I have ever read The imagery and humour expressed in a somewhat dark background of insurrection challenges the reader to always look beyond the obvious The innocence of youth is contrasted with the deep uestions about the ownership of land the struggle for respectto be able to stand as a man in your own land Its also a story of love in an almost impossible situation and i could barely contain my emotions at the end Though I actually studied the book in literature class when I was young this second reading has brought back all the beauty encompassed in the writers depiction of life in this historical setting A fantastic piece
